Braves clinched their 14 straight division title. Hopefully they can last longer in the playoffs than last year.

I'm pretty sure that if the Braves were leading the division in 1994 when the season was called off, then people would be bragging about it being 15 in a row.
The 1995 season was a strike-shortened season as well. There were only 144 games played that year. Should we not count that season either? In that case, it would be only 13 in a row. The only difference between the 1994 and 1995 seasons is that there was a postseason played in '95, whereas that wasn't the case in '94.
The 1994 season does count. Just think about it. If the 1994 season didn't count, then there wouldn't have been MVP Awards, Cy Young's and other awards given away either.
I just feel that people use 1994 baseball season as an excuse for the Braves' advantage. For all intents and purposes, the Expos were winners of the 1994 NL East. There just wasn't a postseason played.
So it's 11 in a row, as far as I'm concerned.

That's the first time I've ever heard a good agruement for the 94 season. But I guess because the season wasn't finished there weren't any real winners. But even if it doesn't count 11 is still amazing and a record.

Atlanta is so good. They'll probably win another 14 in a row

Yeah, what a great job by the Braves once again this year, after once again getting off to a slow start, only to cruise the rest of the way. Each year, the team appears to get weaker and weaker, but good coaching and a combination of youth and experience provide a winning atmosphere. They should have quite a good team for years to come.
But maybe it's finally time for them to make a serious run at going deep into the postseason. They've gotta make it count sometime.
