Cesar Izturis will undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the season. What appeared to be a dream season after the first two months of the season, has turned out to be a disaster the last three. At June 1st, Izzy was leading the NL is base hits and multi-base hits and was 2nd behind Derrek Lee in batting average at .348. But then injuries settled in halted his performance (average went down to .257) and this is third stint on the DL since June. Poor guy. I wish him the best for next year.

Well since any playoff hopes for the Dodgers are basically dead, this isn't the end of the world, as long as he comes back healthy for next year, when the Dodgers can once again fight for the NL West.

With TJ Surgery, maybe won't come back next year, but if he does, late in the year. Wish this guy the best, though.
